Er unterst\u00fctzt au\u00dferdem die Wirkung von Metformin.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Die Blutzucker-, Insulin-, Cholesterin- und HbA1c-Spiegel von Typ 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patienten verbesserten sich mit Chromgaben dosisabh\u00e4ngig. Das Gesamtcholesterin- und die Triglyzeridwerte wurden gesenkt, die HDL-Cholesterinwerte stiegen an.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Dieser positive Effekt auf den Lipid- und Glukosestoffwechsel konnte bei Probanden ohne Diabetes nicht erzielt werden.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Supplementierung mit Chrom wird kontrovers diskutiert \u2013 w\u00e4hrend einige Studien sogar von signifikanten Ergebnissen berichten, konnten andere Studien keine nennenswerten Vorteile finden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nicht nur bei Diabetes Mellitus Typ 2, auch mit zunehmendem Alter (nach dem 40. Lebensjahr) tritt eine Abnahme des Chromspiegels vermehrt auf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chrom kommt in vielen Lebensmitteln vor, besonders hohe Werte (mehr als 10 Mikrogramm\/100 Gramm Lebensmittel) finden sich beispielsweise in Weizenvollkornbrot, Mais, wei\u00dfen Bohnen, Chesterk\u00e4se, Edamer, Gouda, Mandeln, Haseln\u00fcssen, Paran\u00fcssen, Aal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sch\u00e4tzwerte f\u00fcr eine angemessene Zufuhr (Erwachsene) laut D-A-CH liegen zwischen 30 \u2013 100 Mikrogramm, andere Empfehlungen liegen bei 50 \u2013 200 Mikrogramm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00dcbrigens: Eine Langzeitbehandlung mit Metformin erh\u00f6ht das Risiko eines Vitamin B 12 Mangels, was zu erh\u00f6hten Homocysteinwerten und zu einer An\u00e4mie f\u00fchren kann.
